Accept a warm greetings from this fauji, well some gain is made in approval of PB-4 for Ltcols,but they still stand no where near to our demand of parity with Director/Commandants in PMFs.
Well Maj Navdeep made a well research arguments and you fought on lighter details that Ltcols are now commanding less no. of jawans.
It is a mix bag of results.
The fight will still go on.
It should not be taken as there was well established equality between Naval Cdr and CG Commandant.
How navy will now accept same Coast Guard Commandant equals to Naval Captain.

The services being provided by CPMF in last 25 years are so important that now CPMF can not be looked down.The role played in combating punjab problem,NE insurgency,JK problem and now naxal menace is superlative.one should not forget that first burnt is faced by paramilitary despite being poorly equipped in terms of weaponary,log,adm backup in all these areas.The use of CPMF has brought back credibility in elections.Dealing with internal security and guarding borders day and night is much more tough than any war which comes after long gap and that too for which our army gets time and quality trg.our armed forces are best in world but now they should show proffesionalism by showing respect to fellow professionals n CPMF. ajaiS
It is un fair PB-4 should be given to Second-in-Command also.

VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR!MAY THIS NEW YEAR BRING PEACE HAPPINESS AND GOOD HEALTH TO ALL OF US
Have been reading yr blogs and also that of Navdeep. It was really amazing that all my brother faujis have tried to prove their point with all anguish and good english. Some of them croosed all limits of decency. I am really surprised how my friends in fauj can loose their cool so easily. At times I wonder how they manage when they are on border under such a pressure. Any way everyone in this democratic country can air their views.
Fortunately enough I have seen CPMFs also from the close quarters and has realised that conditions in which they operate are not so easy. They fight the enemy whom they can't identify,it may be any one. While on border enemy is clearly defined hence one can plan action accordingly but these poor guys does not know who the enemy is hence are exposed to all kind of threat. That may be a dacoit or goon or naxal or even a terrorist. On top of that they have old fashioned armoury a 303 rifle or max a old carbine that too with out proper life saving gears. While army fight with all modern weaponary with all life saving equipment. I don't say who is doing more as all of us are serving the country and that too without adequate compensation. I don't know whom to blame? I feel up to certain extent we have to blame ourselves.As our brothers who work in hqtrs are going on pleasing them for their petty benefits wheather it a visit to other country or the promotion or...list is too big. So these babus become our masters ..so we have to blame ourselves.
So the moral of the story is instead of fighting among ourselves and creating BAD BLOOD let us think how we can improve things and help each other to make our country proud. For all of us Country's pride is paramount than all these petty issues which exposes ourselves and our weakness.

I have failed to understand one thing in the entire episode of GP for Lt. Col. It has been seen from the blogs of yours and of navdeep that Faujis are impressing upon the Grade pay of 8700 i.e. the grade Pay bing approved by the Govt. for the Col. Since Grade pay will decide the seniority among the officers then by that equation Col and Lt Col. will be equal. That will never happen and then perforce the govt has to increase the GP of Col. and similarly for the Brigadiers and Generals. Is it the the ultimate motive of this brick bat which has been there since kast four months????????
